MECHANIC AND MAINTENANCE PERSON
PURPOSE: To maintain the bowling pinsetters and other mechanical equipment of the bowling center at the highest level of efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintain and repair:
- Pinsetter machines, following preventative maintenance procedures.
- Bowling lanes
- Bowling equipment
- Automatic scorers
- Maintenance equipment
- Plumbing and electrical
- Building maintenance (interior, exterior)
- Lounge, café and sports bar equipment
- HVAC
- Maintain a safe work environment and work safely
- Check for fire code discrepancies.
- Attend work regularly and exhibit positive attitude.
- All other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Parking lot maintenance.
- Strip floors.
- Vacuum floors.
- Empty trash when needed.
- Assist general manager with other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES, SOFTWARE
Operate grinders, gauges, welder, screwdrivers and punches, vises, hammer, electric drills, saw zaw, vacuum, router, steel brushes, compressors, soldering equipment, lane equipment, hand saw, electric test meters, circular saw, wrenches and sockets, table saw and a host of other equipment to perform the tasks needed.
JUDGEMENT: Regular use of judgement is required based both on the choice of alternatives and the analysis of original problems. Major problems are referred to a higher level for solution.
RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for assigned areas of work performed under general supervision.
