About the Opportunity
\n
\n
A leading technology-driven trading firm is looking for a Senior Production Software Engineer to join a team responsible for the systems, tooling and automation that support a complex global production environment.
\n
\n
This is a broad engineering role sitting between software development, infrastructure and operations. The team's focus is simple: make it faster and safer to change production systems, improve reliability and remove unnecessary operational overhead.

The Role
\n
\n
- \n
- You'll build the tooling and platforms that help engineering teams move changes into production with greater confidence.
- That could mean improving deployment and release workflows, building monitoring and alerting capabilities, automating repetitive operational processes or improving the consistency and resilience of production environments.
- You'll work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams and operations across a global organisation. You'll take ownership of systems end-to-end – understanding the problem, designing the solution, building it, deploying it and supporting it in production.
- As a senior member of the team, you'll also have the opportunity to influence engineering standards and help develop more junior engineers.

About You
\n
\n
- \n
- You'll be a strong software engineer with an interest in production infrastructure and large-scale systems.
- Python is essential, with Go or Rust also of interest. You should be comfortable working across a broad technology stack, with a good understanding of Linux, networking, servers, databases and application infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD, observability and production automation is important. Exposure to technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Vault, FastAPI, Flask or Django would also be useful.
- Most importantly, you'll enjoy solving complex operational problems and finding better ways to run production systems – particularly where automation, reliability and security can make a meaningful difference.
