About the Opportunity
Prevail Recruiting is partnering with an early-stage energy hardware company seeking a Technical Program Manager to bring structure, accountability, and visibility to complex product development.
You’ll connect engineering, manufacturing, and leadership while building the processes that keep programs moving. This is an AI-first, hands-on role—not simply meeting coordination or status reporting. The goal is to make engineering execution more efficient without adding bureaucracy.
What You’ll Do
- Own program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and risks from research and prototyping through validation, new product introduction, and production release.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, manufacturing, and supply-chain teams to keep deliverables aligned and surface issues early.
- Build dashboards, reporting workflows, and documentation systems that use AI and automation to reduce administrative work for engineers.
- Deliver clear updates on progress, risks, and decisions to engineering teams, executive leadership, and other stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- Approximately 6–10 years of relevant hardware program-management experience, with ownership of physical-product development—not exclusively software or SaaS projects.
- Technical fluency in mechanical, electrical, embedded, controls, or electromechanical systems, with the ability to challenge assumptions and understand engineering dependencies.
- A track record of owning cross-functional programs, managing risks, and communicating clearly with technical and executive audiences.
- A practical AI/automation mindset and comfort creating structure in a lean, fast-moving hardware environment.
Experience with Python, JavaScript, API integrations, AI-driven workflows, Asana, or Microsoft 365 is a plus. Startup or aerospace/defense hardware experience is also helpful.
