Job Title: Kubernetes I&T Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking two motivated Kubernetes Engineers to contribute to the design, integration, and testing of a Platform as a Service (PaaS) platform. This role is perfect for individuals who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to advance in a dynamic engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the buildout of a Kubernetes-based PaaS platform.
- Integrate Kubernetes components and services into the platform.
- Perform manual testing to validate system functionality.
- Verify service connectivity, including TCP/IP communication between services.
- Write and execute test plans and test cases.
- Create and manage Kubernetes resources, including Pods.
- Document testing processes and results.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, DOORS, and TestRail (training available if needed).
Essential Skills
- Active security clearance.
- 2–5+ years of experience (Level 2/3).
- Experience with Kubernetes and Linux.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, service communication).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a manual testing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with system or integration testing.
- Exposure to test management tools (JIRA, DOORS, TestRail).
- Experience writing test documentation and plans.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering setting.
Work Environment
The role is based at a 2000+ person site in Manassas, VA. The schedule is flexible, offering options such as 4/10s, 9/80, or a 5 days/40 hour week.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Manassas, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
