Position Title: Full-Time Maintenance Technician
\n
Reports To: Lead Maintenance Technician
\n
Position Summary:
\n
The Full-Time Maintenance Technician supports the Lead Maintenance Technician in the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of Homeless No More’s facilities and properties. This position is hands-on and requires the ability to lift, carry, move furniture and equipment, and climb ladders to perform routine maintenance tasks. The technician assists with repairs, apartment preparation, and ensures safe, functional environments for families.

Responsibilities:

General Maintenance & Repairs
\n

- Perform basic repairs and upkeep, including painting, patching, replacing light bulbs, air filters, and minor carpentry.
- Assist with plumbing tasks (e.g., unclogging drains, replacing fixtures) and minor electrical work under supervision.
- Support seasonal tasks such as minor landscaping projects, irrigation monitoring, and weatherproofing.

Facility Preparation & Support

- Assist in preparing apartments for incoming families, including cleaning, painting, and furniture setup.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Provide support during special events, including setup, breakdown, and transport of materials.

Preventive Maintenance & Safety
\n

- Conduct routine inspections and report building and equipment concerns to the Lead Maintenance Technician.
- Keep storage, workshop, and maintenance areas clean, inventoried, and organized.
- Support scheduled preventive maintenance (filter changes, pest control coordination, etc.).

Emergency & Vendor Support
\n

- Respond to minor after-hours or weekend maintenance needs, as assigned.
- Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with vendor coordination and site access.

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb a ladder and work safely at heights.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC preferred.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Strong teamwork and reliability.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Position Details:

Location: Columbia, SC
\n
Salary Range: $38,000–$52,000, commensurate with experience, certification, and education.
\n
Hiring Range: $38,000 - $45,000 commensurate with experience, certification, and education.
\n
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings and occasional weekends.
\n
Employment Type: Full-time, salaried.
