BELMONT Search is a Construction and Infrastructure executive search firm. We work with heavy civil contractors across Connecticut and western Massachusetts, on bridge, highway and municipal infrastructure.
THE OPPORTUNITY
A Project Manager position with a heavy civil contractor working central Connecticut, on CTDOT and municipal bridge and roadway contracts. Work runs from award through final acceptance, reporting to a project executive or to ownership.
THE ROLE
Bridge rehabilitation and replacement, with the roadway, drainage and traffic staging that comes with it. The schedule, the quantities and the monthly estimate are yours, and superintendents and foremen run your crews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contracts from award through final acceptance
- Schedule, quantities, cost and the monthly estimate
- Staged construction and maintenance of traffic on an active roadway
- Subcontracts, change orders and claims documentation
- District staff, inspectors and municipal engineers
- Submittals, prevailing wage and the records public work requires
- Superintendents and foremen on your jobs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five or more years managing bridge or heavy civil construction
- Public work under CTDOT, MassDOT or comparable state specifications
- Substructure repair, deck work, structural concrete and steel erection
- Quantities, production and the monthly estimate
- Staging a bridge or roadway contract while traffic runs through it
COMPENSATION
Base of $130,000 to $170,000, plus bonus.
