Position Overview
The Armed Patrol Officer is responsible for providing armed security services, proactive patrol, and rapid incident response within assigned communities and properties. Officers operate under Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), PILB regulations, company SOPs, and HOA policies.
This position requires a high level of situational awareness, physical readiness, sound judgment, and the ability to act decisively while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide armed, visible deterrence to criminal activity
- Conduct routine and random vehicle and foot patrols of assigned areas
- Enforce HOA rules, property regulations, and company policies in a lawful and professional manner
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and emergency incidents
- Maintain control of incidents until relieved by law enforcement or supervision
- Observe, document, and report violations, incidents, and safety hazards
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, residents, and responding agencies
- Operate in full compliance with Nevada state law, PILB standards, and use-of-force policies
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- Valid Nevada PILB Armed Guard Card
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent understanding of use of force protocols
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, alert, courteous and professional under stress
- No disqualifying criminal history
- Prior armed security, patrol, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to pass basic post physical fitness requirements
- Advanced situational awareness
- Professional attitude is a must
