Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call support as needed

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading facilities services organization seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician to support commercial properties throughout the Grand Rapids area.

This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and general building maintenance across multiple customer locations. The ideal candidate has experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general facilities maintenance and enjoys working independently while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and general maintenance on commercial properties.
  • Complete plumbing repairs including toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, valves, and fixtures.
  • Perform drywall, painting, carpentry, and general facility repairs.
  • Complete minor electrical repairs including lighting, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
  • Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
  • Utilize tablets and mobile devices to manage work orders, reports, inspections, and documentation.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and quality workmanship.
  • Order materials and supplies needed to complete assigned work.
  • Follow OSHA, safety, and company compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or building trades experience.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer locations.
  • Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, work order systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Commercial property maintenance experience.
  • Trade certifications or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting multiple client sites within a service territory.
