Network Operations Specialist (NOC)

Location: Northwest Houston, TX

Schedule: 4-On / 4-Off Rotation | 12-Hour Shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends & Holidays)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Overtime Eligible: Yes (OT after 40 hours worked)

Enterprise Products is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to join our 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC). This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting critical enterprise, SCADA, and network infrastructure environments that support pipeline operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Cisco network infrastructure, SCADA systems, Windows servers, and Pipeline Operations Control Desk issues.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, WAN, circuit, and performance-related issues.
  • Utilize monitoring tools including SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, ThousandEyes, nGeniusONE, NetBrain, LiveNX, Infoblox, and Cisco APIC.
  • Support network circuits including DWDM, SONET, MPLS, VPN, VSAT, LTE, Cellular, Radio, Internet, and StarLink services.
  • Analyze packet captures using Wireshark and NetScout to identify and resolve complex network and application issues.
  • Manage ticket escalations, maintain NOC documentation, and drive incidents through resolution.
  • Support critical SCADA and plant control network environments.
  • Follow IT security policies and support hardware replacement activities in the field.

Required Qualifications

  • CCNA certification is required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years supporting enterprise Cisco networking environments.
  • 2+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Strong experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and Nexus platforms.
  • Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, NetScout, LiveAction, or similar monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of data circuits including MPLS, VSAT, LTE, Microwave, T1, and DS3.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C# is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible 24x7 shift schedule and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred: CCNP certification, SCADA support experience, and Oil & Gas industry experience.
