iii Solutions is a growing managed services provider (MSP) serving businesses throughout the Chicagoland area. We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support our clients' IT environments, including Microsoft 365, Windows servers, workstations, networking, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1-2 technical support both remotely and on-site
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, permissions, and device deployment
- Support Windows Server, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Monitor systems, alerts, backups, and endpoint health
- Document issues, resolutions, and client interactions within our ticketing system
- Assist with network administration, including VPNs, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks
- Participate in client projects, migrations, upgrades, and security initiatives
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when appropriate
Requirements
- 1-3 years of IT support, help desk, or related experience
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience working within a ticketing or PSA system
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience
- Experience with N-able N-central or similar RMM platforms
- Basic VoIP administration and troubleshooting
- Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with endpoint security platforms
- Experience supporting physical security systems, including CCTV and access control
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MS-900, or AZ-900
