As a Maintenance Technician, this position is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and controls aspects of production machinery. These activities can include but not be limited to: machine rebuilding, machine electrical troubleshooting & repair, mechanical troubleshooting and repair; preventative/predictive maintenance; control system troubleshooting, maintenance and general fabrication.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of the Processing, Manufacturing and Packaging equipment from an electrical and mechanical standpoint.
• Performs machine rebuilding, repair and troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and may move equipment.
• Completes general work orders and interfaces with other technicians across all shifts in a team environment.
• Continuously looks for and helps to implement improvements to the process, productivity, quality and reduce costs. Performs special projects and other related duties specific to the department as assigned.

Required qualifications:

• Requires completion of a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
• Must possess a solid background in equipment repair with the ability to perform installation, alteration and repair of machinery and components.
• Must display knowledge of Electrical systems and apply to machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to interpret and work from Blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems
• Basic PLC and VFD knowledge

Preferred qualifications:

• Related technical degree and/or 2-4 years of experience
