Make Ready Technician - Corpus Christi, TX
Sterling Personnel, Inc. is looking for a Make Ready Technician for an apartment complex facility. This role is offered as an open-ended temporary opportunity that has the potential to turn into a long-term position based on business needs. The typical schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM, with a pay range of $16-$18/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Report to Lead Maintenance Supervisor and work with property management to prioritize and complete make-ready tasks.
- Monitor and report inventory needs for supplies and equipment
- Replace or repair fixtures, appliances, flooring, and hardware as needed.
- Performs and/or assists with carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties as required
- Installs appliances and electrical fixtures as required
- Moves appliances, with assistance, using appliance dolly
- Installs, repairs and rekeys deadbolt locks
- Reports any maintenance problems
- Assists with resident functions as required
- Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
- Completes check lists in a timely manner to ensure units are ready for new residents move-in date
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a minimal 3 years of Make Ready experience
- Must have strong communication skills to be able to understand and follow directions
- Must have knowledge of general maintenance, painting, make-ready procedures, and general grounds care
- Must be prompt, on time to work and have good, regular attendance
- Availability to work weekends if needed while maintaining a flexible weekday schedule.
