BG Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Apartment Turn Technician / Drywall Helper to support a busy apartment community in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with maintenance experience who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in preparing apartment homes for new residents.
In this role, you will focus primarily on assisting with unit turns (make-readies) while the property's maintenance team addresses a high volume of resident service requests. The community currently has an elevated number of maintenance tickets, making quality turn support a critical part of the team's success.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready projects
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, sanding, and preparation for painting
- Help prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins
- Complete general maintenance and property upkeep tasks as assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all property and safety procedures while on site
- Communicate effectively with property management and maintenance staff
- Check out with the leasing office before leaving the property each day
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, construction, renovation, or drywall experience preferred
- Strong drywall repair skills highly desired
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

The ideal candidate is someone who can jump in and help move apartment turns forward efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Candidates with drywall experience and the ability to assist with preparing units for occupancy are strongly encouraged to apply.
