Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team and provide security services at a company facility. The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting company employees, visitors, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Candidates with a strong Law Enforcement or Military background are highly encourage to apply.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the assigned facility and surrounding areas.
- Control access to the facility and verify employees, visitors, and contractors as required.
- Monitor security cameras, alarms, entrances, and exits.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security threats.
- Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
- Prepare accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence.
- Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns.
- Communicate effectively with management, employees, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and security information.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active Alabama security/personal protection license required.
- Previous security or military experience preferred.
- Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass any required background check and other pre-employment requirements.
- Valid driver's license preferred/required depending on assignment.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Schedule may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on company needs.
Experience:
- Security: 2 years (Preferred)
- Law Enforcement (5+ years)
License/Certification:
- Active Alabama security/personal protection license (Required)
