About the Role
\n
\n
We are looking for a Manager, Data Engineering to lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of data engineers responsible for ETL development, operational support, and modern data architecture. In this role, you will balance technical leadership, project management, and production reliability, ensuring our data warehousing and pipeline operations run seamlessly.

You will oversee project execution from scoping to delivery, establish operational KPIs, enforce engineering standards, and champion best practices across both legacy (MS SQL Server / SSIS) and modern cloud platform stacks (Snowflake / dbt).

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and resource-manage a team of data engineers. Foster collaboration, balance workloads, and support continuous professional development.
- Project Delivery & Management: Plan, execute, and monitor ETL/EDW projects through the full lifecycle. Maintain project schedules, manage scope and risks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Production Support & Reliability: Oversee production ETL pipeline performance, lead incident responses, execute root cause analyses (RCA), and improve system monitoring and alert frameworks.
- KPI Implementation & Optimization: Define, automate, and track key daily and monthly ETL performance metrics (e.g., job success rates, data latency, error rates, SLA adherence). Drive continuous operational improvements based on metric trends.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices: Enforce code reviews, development standards, and data modeling best practices. Automate manual processes and align ETL solutions with enterprise data warehouse (EDW) architecture and data quality goals.

Qualifications & Key Requirements
\n
\n
- \n
- Experience: 7+ years in ETL development, data engineering, or data warehousing, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Core Technical Stack:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake and dbt (data build tool).
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server and SSIS.
- Advanced SQL writing, query analysis, data modeling, and integration concepts.
- Operations: Solid track record in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and establishing operational KPIs.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities.
