Grounds and Facilities Technician
Seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Grounds and Facilities Technician to help maintain a church building and property. This role ensures that the facilities are safe, functional, attractive, and welcoming to members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, and church grounds.
- Inspect and help maintain building systems and equipment.
- Monitor HVAC controls and implement schedule changes.
- Test emergency lights, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment; maintain accurate service logs.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including painting, floor care, basic electrical work, plumbing, and structural upkeep.
- Identify maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and recommend facility improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or trade experience in a commercial, school, church, or similar setting.
- General knowledge of building systems and services.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; walk or stand for extended periods; and climb, stoop, and bend as needed.
