Job DescriptionProject Coordinator (permanent position) – Raleigh, NC
Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator who is responsible for assisting a salesperson in all aspects of a sale and customer relationships. This is a permanent position working on site in Raleigh, NC with a 40 – 45 hour work week. The role offers a competitive base salary and great benefits. No visa sponsorship or subcontracting arrangements are available.
The Role The Project Coordinator position includes obtaining pricing, submittals, and interacting with customer personnel. In this role, you will also be responsible for ordering materials for the successful completion of flooring projects for one salesperson. You will work closely with internal sales and operations personnel. You must be willing to work in a team environment and develop relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to not only represent our client professionally but to achieve exceptional service from them and to them. At times, you may have to resubmit orders, change delivery dates, and persuade these vendors to act in our client’s best interest without compromising the relationship with the supplier. The goal is to schedule material to arrive prior to the job starting, but never be late with an order. It needs to arrive when it can be billed in that month’s billing cycle so the payment terms with the supplier can be met. You will also work closely with the operations department and with the client software, ensuring this is achieved.What You’ll Do
- Purchase goods
- Manage deliveries for just-in-time inventory and to meet customer schedules
- Arrange truckloads to achieve truckload pricing savings
- Communicate with operations personnel
- Organize and track returned materials
- Order samples for submittals and complete submissions to customers
- Manage claims with manufacturers
- Get roll sizes before shipping for roll layout and communicate to operations
- Manage working files before, during, and after job completion
- Monitor the receipt of goods for use by self and others in the company
- Check current inventory for job and stock materials before ordering new materials
- Periodic entry of no change - change orders to facilitate orders
- Other data entry in setting and maintaining jobs in the system
- Obtain pricing for proposals as necessary
- Other items as necessary to support the salesperson
