Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Supervisor to guide daily building services, sanitation, and maintenance activities within a busy warehouse and distribution environment. This role combines frontline team supervision with equipment upkeep, facility repairs, vendor coordination, and improvement projects to keep operations safe, organized, and running efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct daily work for facilities technicians, cleaning and sanitation personnel; assign priorities, coordinate schedules, and monitor completion and quality.
Train and onboard team members on safe equipment use, protective gear, chemical handling, standard procedures, and facility practices.
Maintain and improve operating procedures for maintenance, housekeeping, materials, equipment, and workplace safety.
Coordinate planned maintenance, building inspections, repair requests, contractor visits, and improvement projects while limiting operational interruptions.
Oversee purchasing and stock levels for cleaning chemicals, maintenance materials, and supplies; work with vendors on availability, cost, and quality.
Lead upkeep of warehouse, office, shared spaces, restrooms, and exterior areas, including waste collection and recycling.
Operate or oversee powered floor-cleaning equipment and floor restoration tasks such as scrubbing, buffing, and finishing.
Arrange or perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs and routine service of conveyors, wrapping equipment, fans, loading docks, and other facility assets.
Support battery charging stations and battery care, including cleaning, watering, charging, and minor repairs.
Coordinate required checks involving fire protection equipment, pumps, drainage systems, and other building infrastructure.
Assist with painting, parking area upkeep, shelving, workstations, carts, pallets, crates, and other small fabrication or installation projects.
Partner with warehouse, production, engineering, administrative, and equipment service teams on repairs, adjustments, and facility needs.
Help maintain a safe, productive environment by identifying issues and following through on corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience supervising or coordinating facilities, maintenance, janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse support teams.
Practical knowledge of building upkeep, preventive maintenance, equipment operation, and basic mechanical, plumbing, or electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to organize staff assignments, train employees, manage competing priorities, and maintain safe work practices.
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, PPE, workplace procedures, supplies, and vendor coordination.
Comfort working hands-on in a warehouse or industrial facility and collaborating with multiple departments.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
