Electrical Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Position Summary
\n
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate has a strong background with a commercial electrical contractor and is experienced managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

- Manage all phases of commercial electrical construction projects from award through completion.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, and material tracking.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Oversee project financials, including forecasting, billing, cost control, and profitability.
- Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field productivity, quality, and schedule milestones are achieved.
- Attend owner, subcontractor, and coordination meetings.
- Identify project risks and develop solutions to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, NEC requirements, and company quality standards.
- Coordinate project closeout, punch lists, O&M manuals, warranties, and final documentation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager with a commercial electrical contractor.
- Proven experience managing commercial electrical construction projects.
- Experience with projects preferred such as:
- K-12 Schools
- Higher Education
- Healthcare
- Tilt-Wall Facilities
- Distribution Centers
- Warehouses
- Manufacturing & Light Industrial
- Office Buildings
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, NEC, and construction practices.
- Strong organizational, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
