Armed Security Officer – ACT 235
Full-Time | Allentown, PA | Community & Childcare Center | Faith-Based Environment
Are you an experienced Armed Security Officer looking for a meaningful full-time assignment where what you do truly matters?
KRE Security is looking for a currently certified ACT 235 Armed Security Officer to join our team at a faith-based community and childcare center in the Allentown area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing a professional, calm, and reassuring presence in an environment serving children, families, staff, and the surrounding community.
IMPORTANT – ACT 235 REQUIRED
This position is for an ALREADY CERTIFIED ACT 235 ARMED SECURITY OFFICER.
To be considered for this position and for immediate placement, you must currently possess a valid Pennsylvania ACT 235 certification.
Candidates who do not already hold ACT 235 certification will not be considered for this specific position.
What You'll Do
As the armed security officer, you'll provide a professional security presence while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing armed security and a visible security presence
- Monitoring the facility and surrounding areas
- Conducting interior and exterior patrols
- Maintaining awareness of activity around the property
- Responding appropriately to security concerns and emergencies
- Monitoring access and assisting with visitor safety
- Following site-specific Post Orders and client procedures
- Completing required reports and documentation
- Communicating professionally with staff, families, visitors, and KRE management
- Working as part of a team to support the safety of the community and children we serve
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Currently ACT 235 certified
- Professional, dependable, and trustworthy
- Comfortable working around children and families
- Calm and confident in potentially stressful situations
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Alert and observant
- Able to follow Post Orders, policies, and client expectations
- Comfortable working independently while remaining part of a professional security team
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
Experience in security, law enforcement, military service, corrections, public safety, or similar environments is valued.

This is a full-time position.
