Affordable Housing Property Manager – St. Paul, MN
- Pay: $28–$30/hour
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: St. Paul, MN
Career Strategies is hiring an experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager for an apartment community in St. Paul, MN. We are looking for a knowledgeable property management professional with experience managing affordable housing communities and maintaining compliance with applicable housing programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of an affordable housing apartment community
- Oversee leasing, resident relations, rent collection, and occupancy
- Process applications, move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and recertifications
- Maintain accurate resident files and property records
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Tax Credit, and affordable housing requirements
- Handle resident questions, concerns, and lease-related issues
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors
- Monitor vacancies and support leasing efforts
- Conduct property and apartment inspections
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Follow Fair Housing requirements and company policies
- Communicate with ownership, regional management, vendors, and housing agencies
Qualifications
- Previous affordable housing property management experience required
- Experience with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, or Tax Credit housing
- Property Manager, Community Manager, or Assistant Property Manager experience preferred
- Knowledge of affordable housing compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent resident/customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Property management software experience preferred
