Sr. Network Engineer | Full-time | Charlotte, NC
Optomi, in partnership with a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their team! This individual will serve as the senior technical owner of the enterprise network architecture, leading the design, implementation, and support of secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity across campus, branch, data center, manufacturing, and Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust technologies while driving infrastructure modernization initiatives from architecture through deployment.

Experience of the right candidate:
- 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
- Strong expertise in enterprise routing, switching, segmentation, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network security
- Hands-on experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Advanced experience with Cisco Nexus in enterprise or data center environments
- Experience with VMware NSX network virtualization and micro-segmentation
- Experience supporting or implementing VeloCloud SD-WAN and Zscaler technologies
- Proven ability to lead network architecture, migrations, implementations, and complex troubleshooting efforts
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Design and maintain enterprise network architecture across campus, branch, manufacturing, data center, and Azure environments
- Lead Azure networking administration including VNets, peering, routing, NSGs, DNS, and hybrid connectivity
- Architect secure access solutions leveraging Zscaler and Zero Trust principles
- Engineer and optimize Cisco Nexus-based data center networking and VMware NSX environments
- Lead network modernization projects, migrations, testing, validation, and cutover activities
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues across cloud, SD-WAN, security, and data center platforms
- Create architecture documentation, implementation plans, operational procedures, and technical standards
