Job Summary:
The Overhead Door Service Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing overhead doors, maintenance, and service operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of overhead door projects while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The manager leads field personnel, coordinates resources, and works closely with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of overhead door, scheduling, and emergency restoration activities.
Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and jobsite audits.
Review work orders, project specifications, and engineering drawings.
Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Manage staffing needs, employee performance, training, and development.
Foster strong customer relationships and respond to service concerns and inquiries.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience
5+ years of experience in overhead door. Including high speed, sectional, and coiling steel doors as well as dock levelers and truck restraints.
2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Experience managing crews, budgets, and customer relationships.
Skills & Competencies:
Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements and safety regulations.
Leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Budgeting and cost control experience.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to visit field locations and work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Must be able to respond to emergency outages and after-hours service calls when required.

Regulatory and compliance adherence.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Service Department Manager / Regional Manager
Direct Reports: Foremen, Line Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and Field Technicians
