Site Manager (Solar/Bess)

Job Description

Renewyx has partnered with a global energy group building out its U.S. utility-scale solar portfolio to bring on a Site Manager for a live construction project in Northeast Texas. If you've run point on a solar build before and want the Owner's chair this time, not the EPC's, this is worth a look. Full-time, on the ground, making the calls that keep a live project moving.

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Act as the go-to person on-site for permitting bodies, inspectors, and other outside agencies

\n

• Keep EPC crews working safely and in the right sequence, day in and day out

\n

• Stay on top of environmental and permit obligations at the site level: stormwater, erosion, dust, and related controls

\n

• Own the paper trail on RFIs, design changes, and nonconformance reports as they move through the field

\n

• Check progress against plan every day, and get ahead of anything that could push the schedule

\n

• Bridge the gap between the engineering, procurement, and project teams so what's built matches what was designed

\n

• Handle incoming equipment and materials, run the laydown yard, and file the reporting that keeps everyone upstream informed

\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Minimum 2 to 3 years in utility-scale solar power plant projects in the US as a site-based construction representative, field supervisor, or equivalent role

\n

• Hands-on knowledge of solar PV construction: grading, piles, racking, modules, and the electrical side of the plant

\n

• Familiarity with SWPPP and basic environmental compliance requirements on construction sites

\n

• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications in the field

\n

• Free to be on-site full-time for as long as construction runs

\n

• A steady communicator who doesn't need much oversight to make the right call in the field

\n

\n

\n

Plus:

• Exposure to BESS in addition to solar PV construction

\n

• Time spent on the Owner's side of the table, not just inside an EPC's org chart

\n

• Availability to start immediately or on short notice

\n

\n

\n
