Is this you?

  • Do you thrive diagnosing tough mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems using schematics and meters?

  • Are you comfortable on a scissor lift, around conveyors, and in a wet, humid production space?
  • Do you enjoy keeping a plant running through proactive PMs and meticulous documentation?

If you answered yes, step into a first-shift role that keeps our Milwaukee leather manufacturing operations moving safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Troubleshoot with ammeters/ohmmeters, drawings, and diagnostic tools to resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
  • Rebuild and align drive systems: motors, gearboxes, couplings, bearings, and seals.

  • Weld/fabricate and use precision measurement to repair or replace components.
  • Operate scissor lifts and follow strict safety/LOTO procedures.
  • Use our maintenance management system to log work orders, track asset history, and plan follow-ups.
  • Read electrical blueprints; assist with PLC troubleshooting; handle low-voltage to 480V three-phase systems including starters and VFDs.
  • Champion safe work practices for electrical and machinery operations.

What you bring

  • Hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical knowledge with strong print-reading skills.

  • Maintenance management software familiarity.
  • Scissor lift operation skills; certification preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs and industrial electrician practices is a big plus.
  • Apprenticeship, journeyman card, or military maintenance background preferred.
  • Team-first communicator in English with solid analytical skills.
  • Safe troubleshooting from low voltage through 480V systems.
  • Comfort working in wet, humid production areas.
