This role focuses on inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, facilities, electrical systems, and other plant systems. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, maintain, and repair plant machinery, equipment, facilities, electrical systems, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
- Work closely with external contractors on major machine repairs, rebuilds, and upgrades to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Determine proper layout, assembly, and installation of systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Understand, diagnose, and troubleshoot PLCs and control circuits to resolve automation and control issues.
- Utilize SAP or other CMMS programs to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and maintain accurate equipment records.
- Perform wiring and conduit installation, modification, and repair in accordance with electrical codes and plant standards.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to extend equipment life and prevent unexpected failures.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with electrical, mechanical, and industrial systems.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance or related environment.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, conduit installation, and control circuits.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic components and systems.
- Proficiency with pneumatics, including maintenance and repair of pneumatic equipment and controls.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining and repairing mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working with plumbing systems in a plant or facility setting.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLCs and associated control circuits.
- Comfortable using SAP or other CMMS programs to manage maintenance tasks and documentation.
- Certification in at least three of the following areas: electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, or pneumatics systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance supporting manufacturing operations.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors and vendors on major repairs and rebuild projects.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work second shift and occasional overtime as needed.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment focused on producing mattresses and pillows. Work is performed on second shift, typically from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime available as needed. The facility uses industrial machinery and equipment, and work involves regular interaction with production lines and maintenance tools in a well-organized plant setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $88920.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
