Job DescriptionData Center Technician III
Location: Northern Atlanta, GA
Shift: Day Shift
Type: Long-Term Opportunity
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Data Center Technician to support a high-profile, large-scale data center environment in Northern Atlanta, GA.
This role combines hands-on server troubleshooting, break/fix, deployments, and data center operations with a strong customer-service mindset. The ideal candidate is technically capable, polished, and comfortable providing white-glove support while working directly with technical teams, leadership, and key stakeholders.
What Youll Be Doing
- Independently troubleshoot servers and diagnose hardware failures.
- Perform Level 2 break/fix repairs and root-cause troubleshooting.
- Replace failed server components and perform hardware upgrades.
- Update server firmware and assist with basic server configuration.
- Rack, stack, cable, and prepare servers and switches for deployment.
- Troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, connectivity, and optics.
- Partner with network administrators and engineering teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
- Support server installations, deployments, and ongoing data center operations.
- Provide white-glove technical support in a professional, customer-focused environment.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding technical issues, troubleshooting progress, and resolution.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while supporting business-critical infrastructure.
What Were Looking For
- Hands-on data center experience.
- Strong server hardware troubleshooting and break/fix skills.
- Experience diagnosing problems independently rather than simply following predefined repair instructions.
- Rack-and-stack and server deployment experience.
- Copper and fiber cabling knowledge.
- Experience troubleshooting server and network connectivity.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Previous experience providing white-glove technical support.
- Comfortable interacting directly with stakeholders, engineers, technical teams, and leadership.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of issues through resolution.
Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidate will bring both sides of the role: technical depth and professional presence. Were looking for someone who can confidently troubleshoot a server, work through a complex break/fix issue, and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the process.
This is not simply a remote-hands or part-swapping position. We are looking for technicians who can think through problems, take ownership, and deliver a high level of service in a fast-paced data center environment.
