Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer position for our client.
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6 months
Duties:

Develop and support data applications, APIs, web services, and microservices.

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex Python applications.

Build REST APIs using FastAPI and integrate relational databases.

Support CI/CD workflows, version control, and modern data platform technologies.
Skills:

Python, FastAPI, PyTest

MS SQL or relational databases
-
REST API, Web Services, Microservices
-
Git and GitLab/CI/CD
-
Kafka, containerization, OpenShift/Kubernetes
-
Analytics, NLP, and big data technologies
Experience:
-
Hands-on Data Engineering/Application Development experience.

Strong Python development and API architecture experience.

Experience with unit testing, databases, Git, and CI/CD.

Insurance industry experience preferred.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
