Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all maintenance activities — preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the property
- Ensure timely response and resolution of all work order requests, maintaining high resident satisfaction through best-in-class service
- Supervise, train, and mentor the LSCRE maintenance team — delegate effectively and hold the team accountable to performance standards
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety procedures
- Pursue cost-effectiveness by prioritizing in-house repairs ensure proper inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies at all times
- Enforce safety policies and procedures and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA standards
- Conduct regular property inspections and audits to identify potential hazards or compliance issues before they escalate
- Collaborate with the Community Manager and Director of Maintenance & Construction to ensure operational & budget alignment across the property
- Be a leader who sets the standard — your attitude, work ethic, and professionalism define the culture of your team
Requirements:
- Prior maintenance experience required
- Required Certifications: EPA Universal Certification required and HVAC
- Must be available for on-call shifts for after-hours property emergencies
- Proven experience in maintenance operations, team leadership, and facilities management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety compliance, and preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move furniture, climb ladders and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and outdoor environments for extended periods
- Ability to follow directions and instructions regarding safety procedures
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English preferred
