Job Description

An established manufacturer of custom industrial and commercial HVAC equipment in the Houston, TX area is hiring a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead custom fabrication and assembly projects from kickoff to delivery. This is a made-to-order manufacturing environment — every unit is built to a customer's specific requirements, not pulled off a shelf. You'll work directly with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and matched to spec. This is a stable, established employer with real ownership over your projects and direct access to leadership.

  • Anticipated $75K-$90K annually, based on experience
  • Full suite of benefits: Health/Dental/Vision, 401(k) with company match
  • PTO plus paid holidays
  • Flexible daily schedule (typical 8:00 AM–4:00 PM)

Overview

  • Own the planning and execution of custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects start to finish
  • Set project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in partnership with leadership
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or a similar tool
  • Track budgets and drive cost accountability across each project
  • Spot risk early and put corrective action in place before it costs time or money
  • Coordinate engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams so nobody's waiting on anybody
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project status with customers and leadership
  • Walk the production floor regularly — this is not a desk-only role

Preferred Skills/Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Science preferred; equivalent experience/education combination considered
  • Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager in HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling software
  • Comfortable splitting time between office and active shop-floor environments
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and resource-planning background
  • Effective communicator able to lead and influence cross-functional teams
