Riverhead, New York
This is an on-site position in Riverhead. Before applying, please confirm that you can reliably commute to this location six evenings per week.
Work Schedule
Approximately 15 hours per week:
- Monday through Saturday
- 6:00 PM–8:30 PM
Applicants must be available for the complete six-day schedule.
Job Summary
We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to join our cleaning team at Riverhead. The right person will be reliable, detail-oriented, and proud of maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
This position involves working independently, so you must be a self-starter who can manage your time, follow a cleaning checklist, and complete all assigned duties without constant supervision. Most importantly, we need someone we can count on to arrive on time for every scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dealership
- Vacuum carpets and showroom areas
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Dust and wipe down desks, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling and replace liners
- Clean interior glass, entrance doors, and windows as assigned
- Refill soap, paper products, and restroom supplies
- Clean spills and address potential safety hazards promptly
- Use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment properly
- Follow the assigned cleaning checklist
- Notify management when supplies are running low or repairs are needed
- Secure designated areas after cleaning is complete
- Complete all assigned work within the scheduled shift
Qualifications
- At least one year of professional cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from Riverhead is required
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent schedule
- Able to work independently without direct supervision
- Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift cleaning supplies
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Trustworthy and respectful of the building and its occupants
