Job DescriptionJob Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and mechanical construction projects.

Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Perform quantity take-offs for earthwork, excavation, piping systems, and related scopes.

Develop labor, equipment, and material cost estimates.
-
Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and vendor quotations.
-
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, owners, and internal teams.
-
Identify and source new subcontractors and material suppliers.
-
Maintain organized and accurate estimating files and documentation.
-
Participate in estimate reviews and bid strategy meetings.
-
Assist operations teams with project handoff after award.

Utilize estimating and project management software to prepare estimates.

Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure scope completeness and estimate accuracy.

Travel as required, including overnight travel, to support estimating activities.
Qualifications and CertificationsRequired Qualifications
-
Experience estimating water and wastewater treatment projects.
-
Strong background in civil and mechanical estimating, including earthwork, excavation, and piping systems.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Experience performing quantity take-offs and preparing detailed estimates.

Knowledge of subcontractor and vendor procurement processes.
-
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
-
Willingness to travel and work on projects across multiple states.
-
Valid Driver's License.
