As a Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, test, and deploy software for defense systems across the full development lifecycle. You'll work on an Agile team alongside systems, cyber, and test engineers to deliver secure, reliable capabilities to our customers, from early prototypes through fielded releases.
The Role
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services in [C++ / Java / Java Script / Python]
- Translate system requirements into software designs, and keep traceability through test
- Write clean, well-documented, testable code, and take part in peer code reviews
- Develop unit, integration, and automated tests to maintain software quality
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment
- Containerize and deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes
- Integrate software with hardware, external interfaces, and third-party systems
- Remediate static code analysis and vulnerability findings (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube) to support ATO
- Take part in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, demos, and retrospectives
- Support software integration, test events, and deployments at lab and customer sites
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (typically 4+ additional years)
- [3–5]+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one of: C++, Java, or Python
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience developing on Linux (RHEL preferred)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and software engineering best practices
- Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams
- U.S. citizenship (required for clearance)

- Competitive Salary: $115,000 - $187,000
