Summary:
To ensure a safe and secure environment for our members, guests, staff and students and to minimize loss of assets. Will oversee the protection of assets at designated facilities, working with the Security Coordinators and the Director of Asset Protection / Security.

- Recruit, train and coordinate security ministry servants to provide unarmed security presence on church properties and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) monitoring during weekend worship services and other events as requested hours by COO or designee;
- Execute on assigned tasks: facility safety, asset protection and traffic control
- Proficiently uses all physical security equipment to include burglar alarm, access control and CCTV systems for monitoring and investigative purposes
- Maintains and supports loss prevention program designed to minimize losses in inventory and other property
- Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of all emergency response procedures
- Conducts surveillance to detect and apprehend thieves
- Ensures that doors and windows on all church buildings are opened and locked appropriately, patrolling buildings as needed
- Coordinates efforts of the Security Ministry to provide escort services to members, visitors and staff members to parking areas upon request
- Ensures that church buildings and grounds are protected from unauthorized visitors
- Notifies police in case of emergencies including, but not limited to: break-ins, vandalism, theft and assault
- Conducts safety inspections and communicate hazards to Facility staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
- A degree in related field such as criminal justice or equivalent, relevant training and experience in law enforcement, EMT etc.
- Certificate in CPR and American Red Cross First Aid.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience as a uniformed officer in a partner locality (City of Richmond or County of Henrico)
