Arrow Glass Industries, a leading residential, multi-family, and commercial glass company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our team in Houston, TX.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of estimating experience in the commercial construction industry, with the ability to read blueprints, perform material takeoffs, prepare accurate bids, and manage submittals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform material and labor takeoffs to determine project requirements and costs.
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial glass projects across all branches.
- Coordinate and manage project submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction or the glass industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
- Experience performing takeoffs, preparing bids, and managing submittals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
