MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

McDonald and Robinson Township, PA

Full-Time | $21–$23 per hour | $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

Are you a maintenance professional who enjoys variety and can remain dependable when priorities change?

This Maintenance Technician II will support residential communities in McDonald and Robinson Township. The role combines routine work orders, preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, grounds work, and emergency response. The technician will travel between assigned locations according to operational needs, with mileage reimbursement provided.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

• Respond to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general repair requests
• Troubleshoot problems and determine the safest and most practical repair
• Repair faucets, toilets, pipes, water heaters, outlets, switches, lighting, fans, and related components
• Maintain heating and cooling equipment
• Complete preventive-maintenance assignments and safety checks
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Perform painting, drywall, cleaning, and minor carpentry
• Maintain the grounds and assist with seasonal landscaping
• Complete snow and ice removal during winter weather
• Monitor supplies and remain mindful of maintenance costs
• Coordinate with contractors when specialized work is required
• Respond to emergency calls during assigned on-call periods

The right person is reliable, self-directed, and comfortable moving between planned work and urgent resident needs. Strong communication is important because residents and coworkers need clear updates about repair status and timing.

SCHEDULE AND REQUIREMENTS

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Daylight hours
• Occasional weekends
• Rotating emergency on-call schedule
• Callback minimum provided
• Ability to respond to assigned emergencies within one hour
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Reliable, registered, and insured transportation
• Mileage reimbursement for travel between assigned locations

EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of maintenance experience

OR

• One year of experience involving electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work plus six months of formal trade education
• Basic computer and work-order documentation skills
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors
