Position Summary
\n
Honey Mama’s is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and day-to-day operations across our Portland manufacturing facility. This role approaches maintenance from a whole-facility and whole-operation perspective, supporting production startup, ongoing equipment reliability and preventative maintenance across all systems and departments.
\n
Shifts will be scheduled to support the manufacturing teams’ startup for the day and may also extend later to support repairs after production hours when needed. On occasion, this may also include weekend support.
\n
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in food manufacturing maintenance, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and take a collaborative, whole-facility approach to supporting safe, efficient and reliable production operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Reliability & Troubleshooting\n
· Collaborate in the diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
\n
· Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
\n
· Support root cause analysis and help to implement long-term corrective actions.
\n
· Support packaging, processing and equipment reliability across the whole facility.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance\n
· Execute preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment.
\n
· Help identify opportunities to move from reactive to predictive maintenance practices.
\n
· Support daily machine monitoring to help quantify operational and machine data.
\n
· Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and corrective actions.
\n
· Support calibration and maintenance schedules staying audit-ready at all times.
Continuous Improvement & Projects\n
· Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and line upgrades.
\n
· Design, 3D print, and install necessary replacement parts using internal CAD software and equipment.
\n
· Recommend process or equipment modifications to improve efficiency, safety, and throughput.
\n
· Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to support the lean initiatives and OEE improvement goals.
\n
· Support evaluation of equipment constraints and implementation of performance enhancements.
\n
· Document and help establish best maintenance practices for Honey Mama’s to build on.
Food Safety, Compliance & Workplace Safety\n
· Support compliance with GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and sanitation standards.
\n
· Identify and help mitigate equipment-related safety hazards.
\n
· Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready maintenance areas.
\n
· Support internal and external audits as needed.
Facility & Team Support\n
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to ensure safe equipment operation across the whole facility.
\n
· Support spare parts inventory management and vendor coordination.
\n
· Train new maintenance staff on day-to-day facility operations, equipment, building systems and established procedures.
\n
· Contribute to a culture of accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications\n
· Experience in maintenance, food manufacturing or CPG.
\n
· Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
\n
· Experience working with packaging lines, conveyors, mixers and automated equipment.
\n
· Strong understanding of food safety standards and GMP compliance.
\n
· Experience with preventative maintenance documentation.
\n
· Based in Portland, Oregon: must have a reliable vehicle or other reliable form of transportation.
\n
· Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
\n
· Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with a flexible, adaptable mindset
\n
· Excellent time management, organization and adaptability to multitask across a variety of tasks
\n
· Detail-oriented with strong reliability, accountability and follow-through
\n
· Comfortable using Windows OS(with the ability to interface with Apple/Mac systems) and Microsoft office Suite.
