Position Overview
The Splicer/MDU Technician is responsible for fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and completing MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) installations with accuracy, safety, and professionalism. You will work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to OSO’s quality standards.
Requirements
- Must have a valid ES7 License (Non-negotiable)
- Experience in fiber splicing (aerial, underground, or both)
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry best practices
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and splice diagrams
- Problem-solving mindset and commitment to high-quality work
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- OTDR and OLT testing experience
- Knowledge of MDU layout, cabling, and finishing
- Experience with restoration work (concrete/asphalt preferred)
