- 8+ years of software development experience, specializing in the Microsoft stack (.NET, Azure)
- 3+ years of application architecture experience
- Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred, specifically within Property & Casualty.

Responsibilities
\n

- Designs application solutions and identifies design patterns with emphasis on reuse, scalability, performance, availability, and security.
- Understands the enterprise applications architecture design and development best practices.
- Mentors staff in application architectures and standards.
- Acts as a strategic thinker, thought leader, internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent for application architecture within development teams.
- Works closely with the Enterprise Architecture area on design methodologies, design reviews, defining best practices, and contributes to conventions and strategies. Receives technical mentoring from the enterprise architecture area on how to apply strategic thinking and plan for the future state.
- Works with delivery managers to balance rapid delivery of business solutions with sound technical solutions.
- Provides architectural guidance on cloud migration of existing applications and adoption of native cloud services where practical, to enhance system scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Evaluates and recommends cloud services that best suit the organization's needs.
- Advises delivery team leadership on technical solutions and on development team member competencies, skills, and overall productivity.
