Daily Schedule/Shift: Onsite 5 days/week
M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Will work whatever time zone they are local to either Warren or Ausitn
Work location – They can work at Warren, Michigan or Austin, Texas. Either location
Assist in the software engineering production of artificial intelligence product.
Support the development operations and release management of artificial intelligence products and our portfolio of products.
Test features and capabilities to ensure that product quality preserves and builds system credibility through reliability.
Coding is required for this role.
Resource Qualifications
6+ years in Infrastructure, SRE, or Core Platform Engineering with a heavy focus on distributed systems.
Advanced Kubernetes & Helm: Deep understanding of the K8s control plane, custom controllers/CRDs, and experience tuning stateful sets or long-lived connection routing.
Production Python (FastAPI/Uvicorn): Expert-level knowledge of Python’s memory management, asyncio event loops, and tuning ASGI servers for high-concurrency gateway flows.
Advanced Load Testing Execution: Proven experience using k6 or Locust to test stateful systems, handle dynamic session tokens, and mock asynchronous backend workers.
CI/CD & Container Hardening: Hands-on automation experience with GitHub Actions targeting Azure Container Registry (ACR) or similar enterprise registries, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
LLM Infra Literacy: Deep conceptual understanding of tool-calling, agent memory architectures, state graphs, and the operational differences between token-streaming vs. unary API calls.
Preferred Qualifications
Service Mesh Mastery: Production experience with Istio, Linkerd, or Cilium for advanced A2A traffic splitting, mutual TLS (mTLS), and zero-trust enforcement.
Agent Sandboxing: Experience with secure container runtimes (e.g., gVisor, Kata Containers) for running unverified user-generated tool code or agent scripts.
Chaos Engineering: Experience injecting failures into asynchronous message queues or mocking LLM API timeouts to prove graph recovery safety.
Daily breakdown:
One Ops team standup meetings to start the day
Manage everything in Jira
Break off and work on their items for the day
AI Coding tools that they will be levering to speed up delivery of their deliverables
The manager will provide timelines on the deliverables to set expectations
Team structure – 12 other developers-based half in Warren and Austin, very senior engineers, they work with a lot with different teams (engineers, managers, etc). They all work on the application together
Chance for an extension – yes very likely be extended into next year and there will be opportunity for the contractors to be hired direct
Education Requirement – Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
Years of experience - 8-10 years’ experience required
Need to highlight that they are using AI in everything they do, especially within their last couple years of employment. The manager will be looking for this
