We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to support onsite technology projects across Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a Contract position focused on preparing, deploying, and supporting end-user devices in office environments. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can travel between assigned locations, resolve hardware and software issues efficiently, and provide dependable technical assistance throughout each project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, image, configure, and deploy laptop and desktop equipment for project-based rollouts at assigned sites.
• Travel to healthcare facilities and related locations throughout the Minneapolis metro area to complete refreshes, relocations, and other endpoint support initiatives.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving PC hardware, Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications, and general workstation performance.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot standard business software as well as healthcare-related applications used by end users.
• Support network and account access needs by working with connectivity tools, Active Directory, and user profile configuration.
• Provide remote assistance to virtual or offsite employees using remote support tools to address technical problems promptly.
• Move, set up, and replace computer equipment as needed during project activity, including handling devices and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain clear documentation of completed deployments, technical issues, and resolution steps to support project progress and consistency.
• 5+ years of experience providing desktop support, workstation deployment, or related technical support services.
• Strong working knowledge of PC hardware, desktop troubleshooting, and hands-on support for Windows-based environments.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and common endpoint software in a business setting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, user account administration, and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to install and support both mainstream business applications and specialized healthcare software tools.
• Valid ability and willingness to travel to assigned work locations throughout the local metro area and nearby sites.
• Capability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as part of onsite deployment and support tasks.
