Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Purpose:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you must effectively lead a team in all maintenance

operations. The maintenance team is responsible for performing both preventative maintenance

and machine repairs. The team is responsible for both identifying and solving the problem.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will have several duties and responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to, the

following:

• Coordinate with OEMs and others to identify and repair machine failures.

• Troubleshoot equipment to determine failed components.

• Ensure all machines receive proper preventative maintenance.

• Inspect all machines for damage – implementing solutions when necessary.

• Coordinate with team members to ensure all maintenance activities are safe and effective.

• Install new equipment and machinery.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience identifying failures and implementing solutions to repair complex industrial

systems. You will need experience identifying and repairing mechanical, electrical,

hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience troubleshooting and working with low voltage electrical control cabinets and

systems.

• Experience troubleshooting and working with high voltage AC electrical systems.

• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with OEMs and suppliers to identify and purchase the correct

replacement parts.

• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical or mechanical certifications.

• Experience operating heavy equipment.
