Job Description
\n
The Programmer Analyst 6 will serve as a Configuration Specialist and Build Administrator, responsible for managing and enhancing application build, configuration, version management, and release processes for applications including Bridges and MiSACWIS.
\n
Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Manage source code control, software baselining, versioning, and configuration management processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated build and release pipelines supporting CI/CD.
- Administer and support Azure DevOps (ADO) builds, releases, branches, tasks, and variables.
- Perform application build and deployment activities across multiple environments.
- Monitor and optimize build pipeline performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot build and deployment failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventative solutions for build and release issues.
- Serve as technical advisor and liaison between DTMB-DHHS and vendor technical teams.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams on build automation, configuration, and version management.
- Create and maintain process and technical documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend configuration, version-management, and build automation tools.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 10+ years of experience in build automation, configuration management, version management, and administration.
- 10+ years of experience evaluating and recommending application/configuration management tools.
- 10+ years of experience deploying application, configuration, and version-management software.
- 10+ years providing technical guidance to development teams regarding build automation and configuration management.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and build/release pipelines.
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket and version control.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, or Ant.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
- Experience with Jira and/or ADO Boards.
- Previous State of Michigan or government client experience.
- Experience with Bridges and MiSACWIS/SACWIS build and deployment processes.
- Experience administering ADO builds and deployments.
- Experience with ClearCase, ClearQuest, Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
