Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper / Porter / Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of our apartment community. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community grounds
- Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges and bushes, edging, and weeding
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and other greenery
- Remove trash and debris from common areas, parking lots, walkways, and landscaped areas
- Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including leaf removal and general grounds preparation
- Perform light building maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and basic upkeep of common areas
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining amenities, leasing offices, and shared spaces
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management in a timely manner
- Support the maintenance team with additional tasks as needed, including during winter months (snow prep, general upkeep, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
