Job Description QA Inspector – 1st & 2nd Shift - Whippany, NJ | $18.00-$20.00/hr DOE
PROSTAR Staffing is partnering with a well-established pharmaceutical packaging company in the Whippany/East Hanover area and is seeking a QA Inspector to join their growing team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career potential in a GMP-regulated environment.
Shift Availability 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM
Compensation $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and finished product inspections on packaging lines
- Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, internal procedures, and customer specifications
- Conduct and document line clearance, line cleaning, and end-of-lot activities
- Review packaging orders, batch records, and labeling components for accuracy
- Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, weights, calibration status, and component approvals
- Monitor temperature and humidity requirements
- Ensure proper gowning, PPE compliance, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Reconcile labels and products at job completion
- Support QA operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of QA/QC, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality documentation practices
- Experience following SOPs in a regulated environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, GMP-regulated environment
- Comfortable working in areas with moderate to high noise levels
