Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe're looking for a Data Governance Lead to build and run a data governance program for a federal government client - establishing quality assurance and compliance practices across the organization and supporting its data governance leadership and committee. Job location is the Washington, DC Metro Area. Hybrid or Remote options can be considered. Position is contingent upon contract award.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the client's data governance leadership and committee, including charters, meeting support, and decision trackingDevelop a data governance maturity model and associated improvement roadmapCreate and implement an organization-wide data quality framework, including defined quality dimensions, metrics, and reporting practicesProduce high-level compliance documentation supporting privacy, retention, access controls, and authorized useDeliver targeted training on governance, stewardship, and data quality best practicesEnsure governance documentation is consistent, clear, and aligned with regulatory expectationsRequired QualificationsExperience applying government or enterprise data-management expectations, including auditability, traceability, and quality controlsFamiliarity with metadata standards, stewardship practices, and data quality frameworksExperience producing SOPs, runbooks, and governance artifacts for regulated stakeholdersExperience supporting or facilitating governance committees, charters, and decision-tracking processesFamiliarity with privacy and data-protection requirements applicable to government or regulated environmentsPreferred CertificationsDAMA CDMP – Associate or PractitionerAdditional RequirementsMust be able to pass a federal background investigation prior to starting work and maintain eligibility throughout the engagement.Salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $160,000.00Work Authorization: At this time, we are unable to sponsor new H-1B visas or other employment-based visa petitions for this position.
