Role Description The Architectural Project Manager / Job Captain is a full-time, on-site role based in Annapolis, MD, responsible for leading projects from initial concept through construction completion. This role coordinates internal teams and consultants, manages schedules and budgets, and ensures that design intent and technical quality are maintained throughout all phases. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing the development of construction drawings, reviewing submittals, managing communications, and facilitating meetings with project team. The Architectural Project Manager or Job Captain will monitor project progress, address issues in the field, support permitting and approvals. This position requires close collaboration with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong project coordination skills, including managing schedules, consultants, and communications across multiple projects.
- Candidates should possess expertise in architecture and construction drawings, with proficiency in translating design concepts into clear, accurate, and code-compliant documentation.
- Candidates should possess experience with submittals, including reviewing and tracking shop drawings, RFIs, and product data to maintain quality and adherence to design intent.
- Candidates must be very skillful in using Revit.
- Knowledge Autocad and Sketchup is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree in Architecture or Interior Design, 3-8 years of experience in an architecture firm, and familiarity with building codes and permitting.
- Additional beneficial skills include strong communication and organizational abilities, and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional licensure as an architect, or progress toward licensure, and experience with a variety of project types similar to the firm’s portfolio are highly advantageous.
