Director of Quality ImprovementWorcester, MA | Full Time | Hospital Leadership
Lead Quality. Strengthen Patient Safety. Drive Better Outcomes.
We’re seeking an experienced Director of Quality Improvement to provide strategic and operational leadership for hospital-wide quality, performance improvement, patient safety, and accreditation initiatives.
This is a key leadership role working closely with hospital leadership, physicians, medical staff, and regulatory agencies to build a strong Culture of Safety, improve patient outcomes, and maintain continuous survey readiness.
What You’ll Lead
- Provide hospital-wide leadership for Quality and Performance Improvement programs.
- Develop and implement quality, patient safety, and performance improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead initiatives focused on patient outcomes, safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee quality data management, reporting, integrity, validity, and reliability.
- Partner with Medical Staff and hospital leadership to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Serve as a key liaison with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
- Oversee continuous survey readiness and accreditation activities.
- Lead and support the Quality/Performance Improvement team and department.
- Promote the effective use of performance improvement methodologies throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HIPAA requirements, policies, and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Active RN license required.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in nursing or another inpatient-care-related field.
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement experience.
- CPHQ certification, or eligibility to sit for the CPHQ exam within two years of employment.
- Strong experience with hospital quality, patient safety, performance improvement, accreditation, and regulatory readiness.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical leaders, and hospital executives.
