Premium Waters is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Lead to join our Byram, MS bottled water facility. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, leading by example, and keeping high-speed production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Lead will support daily maintenance operations, provide direction to maintenance technicians, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help ensure production lines stay up and running. This role works closely with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Safety teams to support equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, line performance, and food safety standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support maintenance technicians during the shift.
- Troubleshoot and repair bottling equipment, conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, palletizers, compressors, pumps, motors, and utility systems.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime and support production needs.
- Support preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, line startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and help drive root-cause solutions.
- Communicate equipment status, repair updates, downtime concerns, and parts needs to leadership.
- Maintain accurate work orders, repair notes, downtime details, and parts usage documentation.
- Support technician training, coaching, and skill development.
- Promote a safe, clean, organized, and team-focused maintenance environment.
- Follow and support safety, GMP, SQF, food safety, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in food, beverage, bottled water, packaging, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, compressors, pumps, and automated production equipment preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Prior lead, senior technician, or supervisory experience preferred.
- PLC troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, CMMS, forklift, or aerial lift experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, accountability, and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work around production equipment, moving machinery, noise, heat, and wet areas.
- Ability to climb ladders, work from platforms, and access equipment safely.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements.
Work Schedule
- Must be available to work assigned shift, overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-ins as business needs require.
- Must be able to support production demands and respond to equipment emergencies.
