ProspectBlue is partnering with a technology and management consulting firm on a Data Architect search.
\n
\n
This is a client-facing consulting role, not an internal data team seat. You'll be brought into engagements across banking, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and other industries to assess a client's current-state data environment, design the future-state architecture, and then stay hands-on through implementation — working alongside data engineers, business analysts, and delivery leads as part of the client's project.

What you'll do:

- Lead current-state assessments and design lake/warehouse architecture, governance, and security models for enterprise clients
- Optimize for cost and performance across cloud platforms
- Stay hands-on in the code — this isn't a strategy-only or pre-sales role
- Work across multiple client engagements and industries rather than a single internal platform

What's required:
\n
- \n
- 5+ years in data architecture, with real experience at a technology or management consulting firm — you've delivered this work for outside clients, not only for one employer's internal systems
- Strong SQL and Python; NoSQL exposure
- Streaming/orchestration tooling (Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow)
- Snowflake and Databricks; AWS and/or Azure (GCP a plus)
- MDM and data governance experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder — no sponsorship available
- Able to commute to one of the offices above; travel averages about one day a month
